The musical figures are symbols that indicate the duration of the musical notes. Do (C) Re (D) Mi (E) Fa (F) Sol (G) La (A) Si (B)… each one of these notes equals to a height or specific frequency, in an order from low to high.
The staff is a space of musical representation; according to the space or line in which a musical figure is found in the staff, it will receive one name or another.
This interface in which the musical figures are arranged, serves as a point of spatial reference to design an infosculptural composition from the alterations and liquid projections of the figures, their anatomies and their formal appearances.
The purpose of these concepts is to carry out a three-dimensional vectorial mapping or shaping of the profile of the basic musical notes generating a netting that symbolically represents the elevation, height or specific frequency in an order from low to high of the sound quality that is printed to a musical note in particular.
Positions, perspectives, extrusions, levels, depths, surfaces, crownings, heights, lights, shadows, are all plastic possibilities applicable to the netting.
Thus, I find a connection between the infosculptures, the city and the urban traffic signs that, to the way of nettings or plots, are constituted into a personal imaginary where it is possible to conceive a utopian infosculpture, to carry out a performance, to replace the pavement and sow some native species, to connect this space to a video installation, to give an alternative music concert, to delimit and close this space for a theater play, and so on.
The staff, the infosculpture and the road sign are related in an analogous way so that their topologic relations evoke a three-dimensional music, an encircling effect, a fluid space.
The infosculptural graphics is linked to a sonography created from the conversations and dialogues with musician José Gallardo and his concept of INmobilaria music.
The piece is based on 440 Hertz, which is the frequency of the musical note La, which serves to tune up all the temperate instruments and synthesizes the digital sampling of the following: human voice, violin, acoustic guitar, electric organ, and digital synthesis in Pure Data.
