While I was thinking about my contribution to OIR es VER/ TO HEAR IS TO SEE, I was reading the novel “The Prisoner” by Marcel Proust (Marcel Proust, Remembrance of Things Past/ The Prisoner).
In retrospect I would say that this was no coincidence since I was so captivated by his descriptions of tones and sounds that passages of his novel finally became the textual inspirations for my recording.
…to conduct herself with a little more noise when taking a bath or in her dressing room. Often I did not wait until later but immediately went into my bathing closet, which was abutting hers and which was a very pleasant place.
