| Most of Karl Hoess's works are in an expressionist style, though he also employs gestural forms. Social and political themes form the basis of his imagery and dominate his work. Hoess has been involved with painting since the late 1980s, alongside his work as an actor-he is essentially a self-taught painter. He feels connected to both gestural abstraction and realistic art. The exhibition at the MAG3 project space will present approximately 38 artworks in a variety of styles. |
