Tulio Restrepo
Voice active - voice passive. Messages received. (10'19'') For this project I am using the answer-phone in my studio to receive messages concerning artistic topics. Since they are recorded electromagnetically, they reproduce space and time of the surrounding sounds, artificial sounds as well as the voices and memories of their senders together with their individual tones, coming from within a certain city, a certain street or another country. A photographic work completes this project visually using three main figures arranged on a sheet of music which suggest a virtual and imaginary space for a sound sculpture. Tulio Restrepo (artist and graphic designer) - Colombia. Sequence and duration - message about the project. Jaap Blonk (audiopoet) - Netherlands - message in form of a soundpoem in three consecutive calls. (2'04''). Adolfo Bernal (artist - graphic designer) - Colombia - encoded sound message transmitting the word "Medellín" and the abbreviation S.O.S.. (1'05''). Juan Fernando Ospina (photographer) - Colombia - a message dealing with his photographic work on surveillance cameras in the underground system of the city of Medellín (Metroseguridad). (0'45''). Mauricio Naranjo (communications scientist - poet) - Colombia - lyrical message. (0'25''). |
