Homo politicus vulgaris (15'32'')

In the development of earth and mankind only few generations have been fortunate enough to grow up without war and violence. In the age we live in many people have experienced psychological and physical terror half of their lives. The evil is characterised by something virtue does not possess: the force to develop and to perfect itself and to seemingly last into eternity. We watch the triumph of evil at its everlasting orgy. HOMO POLITICUS VULGARIS is an attempt at a “dance macabre”, which finishes the end of the millennium with the voice of hell. The author does not expect to see his work performed on stage at a time when the dance of death is still being celebrated in the streets.

Concerto grosso balcanico (16'01'') (ohne Bild)

“A connection with the war which was going on at the time when this work was produced is inevitable”, says Arsenije Jovanovic in his comment on this work. For this composition he used the orchestration of war. Still it has never been his intention to illustrate the war but to transfer the acoustic reality into the poetry of tones, which is determined by other laws. The concerto is a free and open vision of tones, not a sound which destroys but music which conveys human suffering.
