What is new, envisioned by artists but as yet unexpressed, will not be born from the womb of art but from the change of societyä",
from the preface to: From Work of Art to Commodity, by Hans Heinz Holz (1972)
The installation likeNOTHING was first shown in April 2010 in the project room MAG3 in Vienna - there it was present as one space within another.
This space within another space had an entrance as well as an exit, but different from one another, so that it represented a sort of passageway with two projection surfaces opposing each other, which thus created an axis that intersected with the axis of the passage.
The film which was shown on one of the surfaces consisted of a 25 minute-collage of film images, among others images of urban architecture with totalitarian splendour of the past and the present.
Opposite this film collage, a scrolling text projection of the extract Bourgeois and Proletarian from the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, published in 1848, was shown. Both films were running in endless mode. They were accompanied by an acoustic recording of the musical performance not binding at all by the group RBW21 (Relative biologische Wirksamkeit/relative biological effectiveness), mixed with elements from Wagner´s Ring, Beethoven´s 9th and fragments of Honegger´s Symphonies Di tre re, 3 and Liturgique.

In February 2011 likeNOTHING was invited to Bogota where it was re-presented in the rooms of LIA (Laboratorio interdisciplinario para las artes).

However, for this purpose the form of the installation had to be submitted to quite extensive processing, not only because of the space provided - in the end there were three rooms - but above all for linguistic reasons.
At the same time new texts were integrated into the conception, which were: The General Declaration of Human Rights (1948), The General Declaration on Cultural Diversity (2001) and a text from the General International Law, The international Treaty for Civil and Political Rights (1966).

All this is displayed and made comprehensible in the catalogue book which is now being presented.

At the same time (as the presentation of the catalogue book) the space installation ODESSA or [STAIRWAY TO FAME] will be presented, which integrates essential components and design elements of the two previous installations, almost as a return to the place of their first presentation.
