This series of events offers a first-time exhibition of Frank Wegner`s photos from the last years of Alfred Hrdlicka's life. Frank WEGNER, Berlin, was the last photographer authorised by Hrdlicka who took pictures of his artistic work and private situations. Already in Hrdlicka's lifetime Thomas NEMEC was called a "student" of the master and will present works of the last years in tribute to Hrdlicka.
Mag. Reinhold STURM commemorates Alfred Hrdlicka with "Radical realism in the art of Alfred Hrdlicka and the political aspect of art".
Prof. Dr. Philipp MAURER will give a talk "On Alfred Hrdlicka's political writings"
Marwan ABADO, Oud-player and singer of Lebanese origin will lend a distinctive political and lyric character to the closing event.
